This policy explains what personal information iCody.in ("we", "us") collects when you use the iCody.in store and its customer chat, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Questions about it are welcome at [email protected].
1. What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your username, email address and password. Your password is stored only as a one-way hash, never in readable form.
- Your BoomCoding username, if you link it. We need it to add the addons you buy to your BoomCoding account.
- License domains: the website domain you activate each license on.
- What you write to us: support tickets and their attachments, customer chat messages, and reviews.
Information created when you use the store
- Orders and payments: what you bought or claimed, the price, any coupon, the date and the payment reference. We never receive or store your card details; the payment provider handles them.
- Your library and licenses: the products you own, their license keys, and where and when each license was activated.
- Downloads: which product and version you downloaded, and when.
- Technical data: your IP address and browser type, recorded with logins, purchases, downloads, license activations and security events.
- Your cart, store notifications and settings.
We don't use advertising or analytics trackers, and we don't buy information about you from anyone.
2. Why we use it
- To run your account and let you log in.
- To take payments, deliver your products, and keep your purchase history and license keys available to you.
- To check licenses and prevent misuse, for example a license used on a domain it isn't registered to, unusually many downloads, or payment fraud.
- To answer your support tickets and chat messages.
- To send the emails you need: receipts, update notices, ticket replies and account security messages. Promotional emails are only about our own products, and you can ask us to stop them at any time.
- To keep the store secure, fix problems and improve it.
We do this to deliver what you buy (our agreement with you), because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the store secure and free of abuse, because the law requires some records (such as payment records), and with your consent where we ask for it.
3. Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that help us run the store, and only what each one needs:
- PayPal processes your payments. It receives the order amount and the details you enter at checkout, under its own privacy policy.
- BoomCoding.com. When you buy or download an addon from a category that syncs with BoomCoding, we send your BoomCoding username and the product name so the addon appears in your BoomCoding account.
- Google. Our emails are sent through Google's email service, which processes the recipient address and the message.
- Telegram. Store staff may receive alerts, such as new orders or a rejected license activation, through Telegram. These can include your username, the product and, for security alerts, an IP address.
- Our hosting provider, which stores the store's data on its servers.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our customers, the store or the public from fraud and abuse.
4. Cookies
We use only the cookies the store needs to work:
- Login cookies keep you signed in.
- A session cookie keeps your cart and a security token while you browse.
- A short-lived download cookie (about two minutes) tells the download window that your download has started.
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
5. How long we keep it
- Your account, purchases and license keys: for as long as your account exists.
- Payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after an account is deleted.
- Store activity logs: 180 days, then deleted automatically.
- License activation and purchase logs: kept as permanent records, because they show what was bought and where it was activated.
- Download history: kept so we can show you available updates and look into misuse.
- Support tickets and chat messages: kept while your account exists, so earlier conversations can be followed up.
6. Security
Only store staff can access the store's data. Payments go through PayPal's secure checkout, connections to the store are encrypted, download links work only for your own logged-in account, and we log security events to spot misuse. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password you don't use anywhere else, and tell us straight away if you think someone has accessed your account.
7. Your choices and rights
You can:
- See and update your account details in your account settings.
- Delete your account yourself from your account settings. This removes your access to your library; payment records we must keep by law are kept.
- Ask us for a copy of your personal information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected] from the address on your account.
- Ask us to stop sending promotional emails.
- Withdraw any consent you gave us.
We reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example India, under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, or the EU and UK, under the GDPR), you may also complain to your data protection authority.
8. Children
The store isn't meant for children. You must be at least 18 to buy, or have a parent's or guardian's permission. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll also post a notice in the store or email you.
